There were a lot of things Raven was afraid of, but Jono's fire wasn't one of them. Despite what had happened in New York when she'd been possessed by her father's power and tried to corrupt her friends in turn, she knew Jono would never hurt her, and she didn't so much as flinch as he pulled her close.

She slipped her arms around his neck, fingers threading in his hair, and she didn't care if anyone in the front of the plane saw. "I love you," she said, closing her eyes and sending him gentle kisses.
