"We can try again," Raven said, biting at her lip to hold back the tears welling in her eyes. "I can take it all this time, I know I can." She knew those words were born of her pride, however, and that the truth was it would probably kill her. But that didn't stop her from making the offer. Her only concern at the moment was ending her friend's suffering.
